Elina Cherianidou

Elina Cherianova was born in 1979 in Viborg near St. Petersburg in Russia in a family of architects. She attended Viborg Children Art School. In 1992 her family moved to Greece. In her new homeland, Elina continued to renew her passion for art as a hobby. Later she studied architecture in Samara, Russia and finished her studies in Thessaloniki, Greece. Since 2005 she lives in Alexandroupoly where she works as an architect and artist. In the last two years her old dream of becoming a children book illustrator has begun to bear fruits. She accepted various projects as a freelancer illustrator, and has managed to gain a continued relationship with various publishing houses. Her illustrations are hand drawn but she can work with digital software such as Photoshop. She uses black ink, pen, watercolors and gouache.
